Sara Publicover-Lloyd
Sara Publicover-Lloyd is an accomplished Environmental Consultant and registered Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) with over 15 years of hands-on experience across Atlantic Canada. As the co-founder of Axis Environmental, Sara brings a rare combination of deep technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and field-hardened practical experience to every project she leads.
Sara specializes in Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), Atlantic RBCA risk assessments, soil remediation, and multi-media sampling programs covering soil, groundwater, and air quality. Her work spans a wide range of sectors, delivering clear, defensible technical reports for both government bodies and private sector clients navigating complex environmental compliance requirements.
Her career spans environmental consulting, mineral exploration project management, and academic instruction. Sara served as Project Manager and Geologist with a junior exploration company in NB, overseeing cross-provincial exploration programs, and as a Project Geologist with a Vancouver based exploration firm, managing diamond drill programs and remote camp operations in Northern Saskatchewan's sensitive environments. Throughout, she has consistently ensured projects met rigorous government permitting and environmental assessment standards.
Sara holds a Masters degree in Fisheries Resource Management from Memorial University of Newfoundland, and a Bachelor of Science with dual majors in Geology and Physical Geography from Saint Mary’s University. She is a certified Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessor (AESAC), Atlantic RBCA practitioner, licensed drone pilot, and holds certifications in Wilderness First Aid, Cold Water Rescue, and Moving Water Canoe.
In parallel with her consulting work, Sara has spent over a decade as Coordinating Instructor for the Environmental Technology program at NBCC, mentoring the next generation of environmental professionals.
